MAURIZIO ANZERI

Italian artist Maurizio,I saw his exhibition in June in London, was really amazed by his work, hope you will like it too, also there is an article about Maurizio in "Dazed" magazine, but i am not sure its in August one or July,if you are interested, you can cheack it out in LCF library.
-Works and lives in Lodon. The artist creates an additional classification system through needlework and embroidery, a second Anzerian semiology. In addition to the sculptures, found family photographs are reinvented with embroidered threads of colour pulled tight to create new facial contours. New expressions radiate from the eyes of strangers, needlework veils mask what was. Anzeri changes the past context, the present and also the future, of his 'family group'. A very private reality becoming an entirely public fantasy. (From-Riflemaker.org)

A whole new world
In my flat but different floor, there is a guy singing "A Whole New World" right now.
I can hear him clearly, his voice is quite nice, maybe that's why no one shouts at him to shut up.

the London Eye
I went to the London Eye with my friends and this is the picture I took in the eye flight. In the flight, I could see so beautiful views of London, especially ar night. However, it's not a great place to go with friends but with a date. It could be romantic. Please remind this when you go there. It's 17.5 pounds.

Brightonnnnnn!!!
I've gone to Brighton wz my frz last weekend. It's a really amazing town which on the south coast of England. So, we can enjoy the breeze while walking by the sea.
Clock Tower located at the Queen's Road, it's built with four clock faces. It alomost became a local landmark.
This image was photoed in the morning when I just arrived, what a silent steet at that time...
There r more than 4 churchs in the Brighton, but I've just passed 2 of that. they're really specutacular and with strong English style. This is the St. Paul's church. I attened a recital that day.haha~~
That is the "beach" of Brighton. The sea is calm but there's no sand on the seaside, just rocks. so should we call that beach? Anyway, I love the sea.
See! There's a street party on the Gardner St. G St is one of dozen of streets which formed North Laine. U can find some interesting stores in this area.
What's more, u can also go to the Royal Pavalion which near the Cultural Quarter. It's one of the most famous attactions in Brighton! If u have time, just to spend a afternoon in the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery!!!

TATE MODERN

This Saturday I visited TATE MODERN with my good friend Alva. It's really a fantastic gallery with lots of famous artists' paintings and collections.

And also the space of the gallery really impressed me most which I think enable the collections to come alive.
And each floor there are thousands of artsits' signatures on the wall. Though I do not know most of them or even can not figure out what letters they are writing, it do makes me feel more closed to the modern art. This is the first time I visited the gallery since I came to London, and I really enjoyed it very much.
Beer Festival
It was so fun!!
Buzzing of crowd.
Booing, following some noise of breaking glasses.
And I found, for the first time , toilets for men with queue and for women without queue.
(I refrained from taking photo)
Actually I cannot drink beer so much...
But tasted some.
And found my favorite.
Blurred photo...This is an evidence that I was drunk.
And that is why there are only two photos.

House of Light
What I want to introduce is "House of Light" in Japan. James Turrell’s "House of Light"is a modern-built, traditional-style Japanese house where people can stay to experience light in a variety of specific conditions that the artist has arranged for, all centred around a sky-viewing room.

In the sky-viewing room, we can watch the sky lying on the Tatami and the sky is gradually turning from jet black, to black, to the darkest possible shade of blue, slowly, slowly brightening up into dawn…
I like his installation work which controls viewers’ perception of light and space.

About Hobberdy Dick, the novel~
I've been looking for this book for ages!Hobberdyy Dick, published in 1955 written by Katherine Briggs, is about the hobgoblin who protects his host family who live at Widford Manor, is really a classic of English children's writing. The way to release the house elf is to offer him a cloth from the host family.
Thinking of Dobby, the house elf of the Malfoys in Hoarry Potter. But he is a bit different to other house elves--he dreams of freedom, so at the end of the story Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Dobby is set free by giving a sock from his host~

But he is a bit different to other house elves--he dreams of freedom, so at the end of the story Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Dobby is set free by giving a sock from his host~It's a really nice choice to realize the traditional English fairy tale, but it's really really old, too hard to be found, even on the internet! So if anyone ever saw it, please tell me, ok? Thank u very much!

P.S. Hobberdy Dick gets its Japanese name called 妖精ディック.
